Wiring ZzzzZzzz

Boring stuff last night.
Wired up the fog and reverse and had my own private disco turning all the lights on and off.
Only the number plate light left :-)

Apart from a tank it's ready to run I think. Finished the last of the plumbing. Just need a core plug to seal of what was the heater pipework.

Fanbelt and shafts

Got a fan belt fitted, 1355mm for the record (or rather for me when I need a new one).
Had a right load of fun getting custom shafts for the Tripode rear drive shafts. In the end was recommended Stanwood engineering in Doncaster. Jonny was a top bloke and I have posted him off a sample for him to manufacture new ones from as a template. Result.

Nose trial fit

Bit more work. Relieved the scuttle to go over the column and loom and strengthened the rear tub where it had started to crack near the side panel joints.

Lots more  to do though

Superstar Al

Had a good day at Alan's on the lathe and welder. Turned down the Alternator pulley to line up with the other pulleys and turned down the Sierra hubs to get the Escort discs over them. Just need to get some ally blocks made up to mount the rear callipers.

Alan also modified the brake pedal to fit a mechanical brake light switch. I hate those hydraulic ones after mine and Kev's went pop :-S
